Regan's work prioritizes formal composition, texture, and color. With a background in journalism and then digital content, she has been shooting and publishing her images for many years.

She first got interested in photography as a print news reporter in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, continuing to refine her eye while living in Atlanta in the 1990s. Since returning to the Northeast, she has specialized in portraiture and event photography, focusing on live music.

Her work has been used in print and online publications, by Live Nation Entertainment, NBC Universal, National Public Radio (WNYC), IBM, The New York Post, Metro New York, The Washington Post, Blue Note Records, Relix Magazine, Hittin' the Note Magazine, New York Q News, Endgadget, Emcee Artist Management, and others. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, the journalist Alberto Riva, two cats, and eight cameras.
